The Scientific name of Mulethi is  Glycyrrhiza glabra that belongs to the Fabaceae family. The word ‘Glycyrrhiza’ is derived from the Greek word ‘glycol’ that means ‘sweet’ and the word ‘rhiza’ means root, so the name of this plant is ‘sweet root.’
