Author: Dr. Marianne Abouyared, Md - Otolaryngology (ENT)

Dr. Marianne Abouyared, MD  is an assistant professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at UC Davis Health in Sacramento, California. She is specializes in treating both benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck, with specific interests in complex microvascular reconstruction and robotic surgery.

Dr. Abouyared earned her medical degree from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine in 2013. She completed her residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital from 2013 to 2018. She furthered her expertise with a fellowship in Head & Neck Oncologic and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Washington in 2018-2019. 

In addition to her clinical role, Dr. Abouyared serves as the Associate Program Director for the Otolaryngology residency program at UC Davis, where she is actively involved in teaching residents and medical students. ​ She is affiliated with UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. ​ Dr. Abouyared's research focuses on factors influencing outcomes in head and neck cancer patients, particularly wound healing and malnutrition. She has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed articles in these areas. ​
